BRAND STORY

Founded by Yu Takahashi, Veronica is a brand created with the hope of preserving and passing down the home-cooked flavors of the Philippines—her mother’s homeland—to future generations.
One of the dishes her mother often made for her growing up was adobo, a beloved Filipino home-style dish made by slowly simmering chicken or other meats with vinegar, soy sauce, black pepper, garlic, bay leaves, and other seasonings.
For Yu, adobo has always been one of her favorite foods—and, above all, the taste of home.
After becoming a mother herself, she began to feel a strong desire to pass this familiar flavor on to her children and to future generations. She also wanted more people to feel closer to the Philippines and experience its rich food culture.
That desire inspired her to turn the dish into a product.
In the summer of 2026, marking the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Philippines, Veronica launched its first product: Mamita’s Chicken Adobo.
Serve it over rice,
enjoy it as part of a meal,
or pair it with your favorite drink.
However you choose to enjoy it, we hope Mamita’s Chicken Adobo brings a taste of Filipino home cooking to your table.
We hope you enjoy Mamita’s Chicken Adobo.
